HEMERA WORKSHOP
San Pietro in Vincoli, Università La Sapienza, Rome
The new dates of the conference are confirmed:
July 4 / July 6, 2022
A dedicated HEMERA workshop on stratospheric balloon scientific and technological experiments will be held from July 4yth to July 6th 2022, in Rome city center, Italy.
This workshop is mainly dedicated to present, future and potential HEMERA users, conducting balloon borne experiments or performing technological validation tests.
First, an introduction session presenting the HEMERA Research Infrastructure will be held, focusing on its technical capabilities and procedures, on HEMERA balloon offer, on the list of selected experiments and on a technical outcome of the already conducted flight campaigns.
Then the sessions will be dedicated to present and future HEMERA users, to describe their experiments and their scientific and technological objectives, as well as first results if any. Also, all interested European scientists and engineers are encouraged to come and present their ideas, plans or wishes concerning future experiments on board stratospheric balloons.
Invited speakers will provide an overview of their scientific domain, in relation to balloon experimentations.
A round table will close the workshop, allowing to exchange ideas and to better identify the trends and needs for the future balloon science and technology.
Invited Speakers
Peter Von Ballmoos, Mark Pearce, Martyn Chipperfield, Gwenal Berthet, Inna Polichtchouk, Silvano Fineschi/ Fabio Reale, Luca Palchetti, Nicolas Foray, Natalie Huret/ Paolo De Bernardis, Enrico Flamini, Ottmar Möhler.
