To help parents attending the ESPM-17, the local organizing committee managed to provide the convenience of a childcare service.
The service will be offered for the entire duration of the conference from Monday 9th to Friday 13th. A limited number of places (for 15 children in total) are available for free at two selected facilities located near the conference venue.

Interested parents, under their own responsibility, will be able to leave their child(ren) at one of the two facilities of their choice, on the days they need it, upon reservation. Meals will be provided by the facilities.

VERY IMPORTANT: in the registration form, applicants must provide all fundamental information about dietary restrictions (e.g., allergies, intolerances) and special needs (e.g., medical needs) of their child(ren).
The childcare service is sponsored by the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) Gender Equality Plan (GEP).
The GEP is a programmatic document that identifies and introduces actions that favor the reduction of gender asymmetries, and allow, at the same time, the valorization of all the diversities linked, for example, to the variables age, culture, physical ability, sexual orientation, political and/or religious belief, multilingualism. Thanks to the enthusiastic work by the GEP team, INAF now has an internal GEP, which contains dedicated lines of action aimed at reducing the gender gap.
Among the GEP planned initiatives are those for childcare, and we wish to thank INAF and the GEP team for their generous sponsorship which has allowed us to organise the ESPM-17 childcare service.
