Città di Brindisi

Located on a natural inlet of the Adriatic Sea, Brindisi has served as a strategic gateway between Italy and the East for centuries. Historically known as the endpoint of the Appian Way, the city is still overlooked by the iconic Roman Columns that mark the conclusion of the ancient road from Rome.

The city center is gathered around the waterfront, where medieval landmarks like the Temple of San Giovanni al Sepolcro stand alongside imposing military structures, such as the Swabian Castle and the Aragonese Forte a Mare. Today, Brindisi is a functional and welcoming hub, balancing its maritime heritage with its role as a key transport link for the Puglia region. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere along the harbor promenade or explore the nearby Torre Guaceto nature reserve.
