The "Best Student Poster Competition", supported by the journal Solar Physics is aimed at stimulating student participation and provides an excellent forum for PhD students to present their work in an informal and interactive setting. Posters are intended to provide PhD students and ESPM-16 participants the ability to connect with each another and discuss the work presented. Posters will be judged based on scientific excellence,
technical rigour, and poster format.
The prize will consist of a diploma and a 200, 150 and 100 EUR book vouchers for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, correspondingly, sponsored by Solar Physics journal.
Students who wish to participate in the Student Poster Competition will need to fill in the survey and submit their posters as PDF by the deadline 30 of August 23:59 CEST. The format of student poster presentations follows the general rules of posters, see instructions. The selection will be done based on these submissions.
Students who wish to enter the competition must be the lead authors of the work, but there may be multiple authors. The poster must include original work, which is either completed or ‘in progress’. Presentations for studies which are ‘in progress’ should include preliminary or interim findings.
The selection will be done based on the expertise of an external jury and ESPM SOC members. The winners will be announced during the last day of the meeting.
