Overview

The Workshop on "Waves and Instabilities in the Solar Atmosphere" (WISA) will take place in Monte Porzio Catone, (Italy) from 23 to 26 September 2025. Hosted by the Osservatorio Astronomico di Roma (INAF), this meeting brings together experts, researchers, and enthusiasts to explore the latest advancements in understanding waves and instabilities in the solar atmosphere

The WISA 2025 will particularly focus on:

  • Cutting edge observations: Utilizing state-of-the-art observing facilities, instruments and observational techniques to probe waves and instabilities in the solar atmosphere.

  • Advanced modeling: Developing and applying sophisticated models to simulate and understand wave phenomena and instabilities.

  • Data analysis innovations: Employing advanced methods, including machine learning, to extract deeper insights from observational data.

WISA 2025 will feature engaging review talks by leading researchers, contributed talks showcasing recent discoveries, and interactive poster sessions. Ample time will be dedicated to discussions, fostering collaboration and exchange ideas.

Researchers at all career stages are encouraged to attend, with a special welcome to graduate students and early-career postdocs.
