Experimental confirmation of γ–γ scattering and implications of Quantum Field Coherence Theory, with the emergence of Giant Resonances in heavy-ion collisions.

Description

The recent experimental confirmation of γ–γ scattering in heavy-ion collisions, obtained in high-energy experiments, provides important confirmation of theoretical results previously developed by the author. In particular, this confirmation allows for the reevaluation of research published in Il Nuovo Cimento, based precisely on this interaction mechanism, subsequently extended to the lower energy regime (≈ 1 GeV per nucleon) and published in an international journal in the hadronic field.
In light of these results, the proposed contribution intends to present at the SIF Conference a confirmation of Quantum Field Coherence Theory (QFCT), already developed and formalized in previous monographs by the author. The effects of TQC in the context of heavy-ion collisions will be discussed, highlighting both their phenomenological implications and their theoretical implications for astrophysical physics. In fact, the QFCT (after applying General Relativity) is the only one that can explain the production of matter and antimatter (e+e- pairs) by some pulsars, such as Psr J2030+4415.
A possible theoretical interpretation of recent experimental evidence reported in the literature, attributable to quantum coherence phenomena on a collective scale, will also be proposed.
Finally, a confirmation of the quantum coherence theory postulated by G. Preparata and R. J. Glauber, originally expounded in their major books, will be presented, applied to the case of relativistic ion collisions. This approach, already implicitly anticipated in previous works by Gerhard Baur and Carlos Bertulani, is here integrated into a coherent theoretical framework, with excitations of giant resonances, and compared with available experimental data.
