The assembly will take place at the Galzignano Resort Terme & Golf (https://www.galzignano.it/) located in Galzignano Terme (PD), Viale delle Terme 84 at the conference centre of the resort in the conference rooms dedicated to hosting the assembly’s sessions. There are 3 rooms at the Hotel Splendid (Sala Giganti, Sala Signori and Sala Colonne), and one room, Sala Scrovegni, at the hotel Majestic where all the administrative sessions will be held.
Streaming service will be available in the Sala Giganti and Sala Scrovegni.
The Sala Colonne, and sala Signori , if not scheduled, from Tuesday 15.10.24 to Thursday 17.10.24, are available for any meetings of the participants given that the purpose of the assembly is to encourage the creation of groups between colleagues for future collaborations. Please inform the desk INAF if you need it.
In any case, meetings between a few people or to follow any teleconferences can be held in the hotel lobby areas (e.g. Majestic or Sporting) or even by the pool (weather permitting).
ARRIVAL AT THE RESORT
First of all, register for the Congress. The desk with the INAF staff in charge of registrations is located at the Hotel Splendid
STAY
For those who will stay at the Resort we inform you that:
1) The rooms (all) are available from 3:00 pm every day (no exceptions will be made)
2) If you arrive in the morning, after having registered, you can leave your suitcase at the luggage storage of your Hotel
3) On the day of arrival LUNCH is NOT included whether you have chosen half board or full board. Lunch is included on the day of departure. If you want to have lunch at the Hotel also on the day of arrival you have to take a voucher by the 12.00 paying 30 euros the lunch at the reception of the Hotel Splendid (where the desk INAF is located).
The lunch on the 14.10.24 will be served at the Restaurant of the Hotel Majestic. The other lunches (days 15.10.24, 16.10.24, 17.10.24, 18.10.24) will be served at the Restaurant of the Hotel Sporting.

For non-resident guests
You have to book the meals you intend to have at the restaurant and make the by payment receipt no later than 12:00 to have the appropriate voucher necessary to access the restaurant. The payment will be at the reception of the Hotel Splendid (where the desk INAF is located) The cost of the lunch is established at 30 euros (buffet service with one dish served, drinks included). Lunch will be served at the restaurant of the Hotel Majestic on 14.10. 24, and the others at the restaurant of the Hotel Sporting.
SOCIAL DINNER
A social dinner at the cost of 40 euro is planned at the resort on the evening of Thuesday 15 october 2024 at the Terra Restaurant of the Hotel Sporting (reserved for INAF). Resident guests have the dinner included and could be collected at thea Hotel where they are staying, while non resident guests have to book and pay the voucher at the reception of the Hotel Splendid.
COFFEE BREAKS
The coffee breaks during the assembly will be offered by the USC VIII and will be served at the hall of the hotel Splendid.
TRANSPORT TO AND FROM GALZIGNANO RESORT (Hotelts Majestic, Sporting and Splendid)
There is no transport available. We recommend booking a taxi in advance. The transfer service offered by the resort is contacting Mr. Giorgio, who has a fleet of taxis, at:

Train - You can reach the Padua station with the high-speed train (distance from the Galzignano Resort 25km)
from here you can take local trains to:
1) Battaglia Terme Station (about 15 minutes - frequency at least every hour with regional train)
on Foot 1.8km about 25 minutes
by Taxi 2.2km about 4 minutes
2) Terme Euganee - Abano-Montegrotto Station - (about 10 minutes - frequency at least every 20 minutes with regional train)
by Taxi 13.4km about 18 minutes

ACCOMODATION
The resort includes three hotels (The Hotel Majestic, The Hotel Sporting and the Hotel Splendid) and offers the accommodation in the one of the hotels that share the same services, like free access to the thermal pools, and relaxion areas, with a promotional code reserved for the participants of the assembly, until the 14 September 2024 21 September 2024
The promotional code for accommodation is available in 2 options:
Option 1: Accommodation in HB (half board)
- Double room, single use: starting from 150 € per night with breakfast and lunch included. N.B: for Tuesday (15 october) the cost is indicated as 190 euro since it already includes 40 euro for the social dinner).

Option 2: Accommodation in FB (full board)
- Double room, single use: starting from 180 € per night with breakfast, lunch and dinner included; N.B: for Tuesday (15 october) the cost is indicated as 190 euro per person to include the cost for the social dinner).
- Double room: starting from 130 € per person per night with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. N.B: for Tuesday (15 october) the cost is indicated as 140 euro per person to include the cost for the social dinner).
Booking rules: No penalty for cancellations within 7 days before arrival. After this deadline, in case of cancellation, no-show or early departure, the amount for the first night's stay will be charged to the credit card provided as guarantee.
You must make the reservation directly from the resort webpage : at the link http://www.galzignano.it you will find the button "Prenota ora". Then you have to choose the date of your arrival and departemnt from "Il tuo soggiorno". In the text box "promo code" you have to include: INAF USC8, and then you can choose one of the hotels (e.g., Sporting, Splendid, Majestic) for your stay.
