🚆 By Train
The location is easily reachable from the main railway stations.
- From Central Station (Santa Maria Novella (SMN)):
- Take Tram Line T 1 (Direction Careggi) and get off at Morgagni Università stop.
- Take Bus Line 59 (T1 Morgagni -> Polo Scientifico CNR) to Polo Scientifico Dipartimento di Chimica, then walk 3min.
- From Rifredi Station:
- Take Bus Line 59 (T1 Morgagni -> Polo Scientifico CNR) to Polo Scientifico Dipartimento di Chimica, then walk 3min.
- From Sesto Fiorentino Station:
- Bus Linee 66 (FS Sesto Fiorentino -> Polo Scientifico Dipartimento di Chimica), then walk 3min.
Note: Tickets can be purchased via the “at bus” app or by credit card on board (Tap & Go) at a cost of €1.50
✈️ By Plane
From Firenze Airport Amerigo Vespucci:
- · Tram Line T2: (Direction San Marco) and get off at Santa Maria Novella, then continue as above.
- Taxi
🚗 By Car and Parking
If arriving by car from:
- A1 Highway: Recommended exit Firenze Nord: continue towards Florence (A11/E76)
- A11 Hightway: Continue straight towards Florence (A11/E76).
In both cases, take the Sesto Fiorentino exit and enter Via del Cantone.
At the roundabout, take Via del Cantone in the opposite direction and continue to Sesto Fiorentino via Via dell’Osmannoro.
Turn right onto Via delle Idee, following the signs for Polo Scientifico.

- Internal parking: Free access available.
