Social events

We are delighted to offer social activities on the evening of Tuesday, January 28th, providing an opportunity to explore the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Naples.

Visit to the Jago Museum

We will begin with a visit to the Jago Museum, located in the heart of the Rione Sanità. The museum showcases the works of renowned contemporary artist Jago, whose sculptures are celebrated for their emotive power and technical brilliance.

📍 Meeting point: 6:45 PM at the Jago Museum (Rione Sanità) - Chiesa di Sant'Aspreno ai Crociferi, Piazzetta Crociferi, Napoli
Alternatively, participants can join us for a short walk from the Osservatorio Astronomico di Capodimonte to the museum.

During the visit, we will be accompanied by the members of La Sorte, a local cooperative dedicated to creating job opportunities through the promotion and restoration of the treasures of the Rione Sanità.

Fun fact
: In 2019, during the ESA Beyond mission, Jago became the first artist to send a marble sculpture to the International Space Station. The artwork, titled The First Baby and depicting a fetus, returned to Earth in February 2020 under the care of mission commander Luca Parmitano.

Guided Walk and Dinner at La Locanda del Monacone

After the museum visit, we will walk together to La Locanda del Monacone, a charming restaurant known for its excellent traditional neapolitan cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Along the way, the members of La Sorte will guide us through the streets of the Rione Sanità, sharing fascinating stories about its historical landmarks.

📍 Address: Via Sanità, 32A, Napoli
🕗 Time: 8:00 PM

We hope you will join us for this special evening to experience the beauty and culture of Naples together.
