The workshop will take place at the Astronomical Observatory of Rome, located between the towns of Monte Porzio Catone and Frascati, about 20 km from Rome downtown.
How to get to the Observatory
If you arrive by airplane:
- From both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports you can use this taxi service:

phone: +39-06/9410800
e-mail: info@taxicastelliromani.com
You can pay by credit card (usual fares for online reservations: Fiumicino – Frascati 75 euros; Ciampino – Frascati 35 euros)
- From Fiumicino you can reach Frascati by train and then either take a local taxi or use the shuttle service. You will need to first take a train from Fiumicino to Roma Termini and then a second train from Roma Termini to Frascati.
The total cost of the trains is about 10-15 euros.
Shuttle service from Frascati
Given the difficulty in reaching the venue with public transportation, the workshop LOC has organised a shuttle service every day from and to Frascati.
The following map shows how to reach the meeting point for the shuttle from the Frascati train station. When you exit the station, take the stairway you find on the opposite side of the road. This will lead you up to the shuttle meeting point.
Timetable of the shuttle:
