The workshop will take place at the Astronomical Observatory of Rome, Via Frascati 33, (https://www.oa-roma.inaf.it/oar/monte-porzio-catone/), located between the towns of Monte Porzio Catone and Frascati, about 20 km from Rome downtown (see maps below).

PERSONAL CAR / TAXI
The fastest and easiest way to reach the observatory from the two main airports of Rome (Fiumicino and Ciampino) is by car. A Taxi (fare about 70 Euro, https://www.castelliromanitaxi.com).
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Public transport can bring you to the observatory entrance, though it takes significantly more time compared to driving.
From Fiumicino airport, you may take the train to the central station in Rome (Termini Station), which runs every 30 minutes, and then from Termini take the train to Frascati (every hour).
From Ciampino airport, there is a bus to the Ciampino train station, where you can take the train to Frascati (every hour).
From Frascati you must then take the bus (details below).
The bus that passes the observatory is the Anagnina-Frascati-Rocca Priora service (CN04A, CN904D). It is operated by COTRAL, Lazio’s extraurban bus provider. You can take it from Frascati’s Piazza Guglielmo Marconi or - if more convenient for you - from its origin at Anagnina transport interchange, located at the end of the Roma Metro Line A. The bus routes and times are shown on the map below.
From Anagnina, take the Cotral service to Rocca Priora. It departs from bay 7. Exiting from the metro, you can find all Cotral’s departure bays by following signs for ‘Extraurbano’, passing the Cotral ticket office on the way.
From Frascati you can also take services to Genazzano and Palestrina.
BUS TIMES (we strongly recommend being at the bus stop 10 minutes before the times below, as the buses are known to be early).
