Participants are kindly advised to arrange their accommodation well in advance. Rome and the surrounding area host numerous international events throughout the year, and hotel availability may become limited, especially during peak seasons.
We recommend booking accommodation either in Rome and Frascati , which is located approximately 20 km from Rome, during the respective days of the conference, or just in Rome for the whole meeting avoiding traffic problems in entering the town during the morning.
Accommodation
Both Rome and Frascati offer a wide range of accommodation options, including hotels, guesthouses, and short-stay apartments.
To ensure the best choice in terms of location and price, participants are strongly encouraged to reserve their hotel rooms as early as possible.
-
Rome provides a large selection of hotels and convenient public transportation connections.
-
Frascati is a smaller historic town in the Castelli Romani area, known for its pleasant atmosphere, good restaurants, and proximity to scientific institutions. It may offer a quieter stay while remaining well connected to Rome.
Local Transport
Shuttle buses for Villa Mondragone and INAF-OAR will be offered from selected locations in both Rome and Frascati. The service will be included in the conference fee.
Travel between Rome and Frascati is however straightforward:
-
Train: Regular regional trains connect Roma Termini station with Frascati in about 30 minutes.
-
Bus: Several regional buses link the two towns and nearby research centers.
-
Taxi / Ride services: Available in both cities.
-
Car: Travel time is typically 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic.
Further information about transport routes and local logistics will be provided to registered participants closer to the conference date.
