I Raggruppamenti Scientifici Nazionali (RSN) costituiscono l’ambito attraverso il quale il personale di ricerca dell’INAF può presentare, discutere e condividere attività di ricerca, progetti, istanze di interesse per l’Ente e proposte di utilizzo delle grandi infrastrutture scientifiche e tecnologiche di interesse per l’Ente.
Il Comitato Scientifico Nazionale di RSN1: Galassie e Cosmologia organizza le Giornate di Raggruppamento RSN1, che si terranno presso l’Auditorium Nazionale INAF “Ernesto Capocci” a Napoli, dal 9 all’11 febbraio 2026. Le giornate rappresentano un’importante occasione di confronto tra ricercatori, strutture coinvolte e Dirigenza, sia sugli aspetti scientifici sia sulle prospettive organizzative e strategiche del nostro raggruppamento.
Questi incontri assumono anche valore di consuntivo del mandato dell’attuale Comitato, che giungerà a conclusione nel 2026, e offriranno quindi un’opportunità per raccogliere suggerimenti e indicazioni da parte della comunità riguardo alle funzioni e modalità operative dei Comitati e ai processi di interazione tra comunità scientifica e Dirigenza.
Le giornate saranno articolate attorno a temi centrali per RSN1, tra cui:
- Tematiche scientifiche e linee di ricerca di maggiore interesse per il raggruppamento.
- Grandi progetti e infrastrutture nei quali l’INAF è coinvolto o sta investendo
- Aggiornamenti su canali di finanziamenti
- Ruolo, funzioni e modalità operative dei Comitati Scientifici Nazionali
- Discussioni aperte e tavole rotonde con la comunità e con la Dirigenza
Il programma include presentazioni scientifiche da parte di ricercatori e ricercatrici INAF e contributi istituzionali da parte dei vari organi della dirigenza, cui seguiranno momenti di confronto e discussione con l'intera comunità RSN1.
Le presentazioni dei contributi scientifici saranno in inglese, mentre i contributi istituzionali e le discussioni si svolgeranno in italiano. Tutti i relatori sono invitati a preparare le slide in inglese.
Le Giornate RSN1 intendono essere un momento di dialogo e partecipazione attiva, orientato alla condivisione di attività di ricerca, criticità, opportunità e prospettive future. È auspicabile un’ampia partecipazione in presenza di ricercatori, ricercatrici e associati INAF, che sarà fondamentale per il successo dell’iniziativa; per coloro che non potranno partecipare fisicamente, sarà comunque predisposto un collegamento da remoto.
Le registrazioni per la partecipazione in presenza saranno aperte fino al 23 Gennaio 2026.

Raggruppamenti Scientifici Nazionali (RSN) provide the framework through which INAF research staff can present, discuss, and share research activities, projects, needs, and proposals for the use of major scientific and technological infrastructures of interest to the Institute.
The National Scientific Committee of RSN1: Galaxies and Cosmology is organizing the Giornate di Raggruppamento RSN1, which will be held at the INAF National Auditorium “Ernesto Capocci” in Naples from 9 to 11 February 2026. These days represent an important opportunity for dialogue among researchers, participating institutes, and INAF management, addressing both scientific aspects and the organizational and strategic perspectives of our grouping.
These meetings will also serve as a review of the mandate of the current Committee, which will conclude in 2026, and will therefore provide an opportunity to gather feedback and suggestions from the community regarding the roles and operating modes of the Committees, and the processes of interaction between the scientific community and INAF management.
The meeting will be structured around key themes for RSN1, including:

Scientific topics and the main research lines of interest to the grouping

Major projects and infrastructures in which INAF is involved or is investing

Updates on funding channels

Roles, functions, and operating modes of the CSN

Open discussions and round tables with the community and INAF management
The program will include scientific presentations by INAF researchers, as well as institutional contributions from the various management bodies, followed by opportunities for discussion and exchange with the entire RSN1 community.
Scientific contribution presentations will be in English, while institutional contributions and discussions will be held in Italian. All speakers are invited to prepare their slides in English.
The RSN1 Meeting is intended as a forum for dialogue and active participation, focused on sharing research activities, critical issues, opportunities, and future perspectives. Broad in-person participation by INAF researchers and associates is strongly encouraged and will be essential for the success of the meeting; for those unable to attend in person, a remote connection will also be provided.
Registrations for in-person attendance will be open until 23 January 2026.
