San Benedetto del Tronto, a coastal town in Italy's Marche region, is known for its palm-lined seafront and beaches. As a key hub of the Adriatic Riviera, it combines its natural setting with modern facilities and a welcoming environment. The town's maritime history, local cuisine, and accessible location make it a suitable choice for the LGWA 2025 meeting, aiming to offer participants a productive and pleasant experience.

 

The LGWA 2025 meeting will take place at the Università di Camerino - URDIS Polo Didattica Ricerca SBT. It is a research and teaching center of the University of Camerino located in San Benedetto del Tronto (SBT) and has various laboratories, classrooms, and facilities to support research and teaching activities. 

 

Accomodation

Several nice hotels and bed & breakfasts are within walking distance from the conference venue. More distant accomodations can also be considered, given a very good public transportation system in San Benedetto del Tronto (or cheap taxi services) and possibilities to use hotel bikes. We suggest that you only book a stay with breakfast. Lunches will be offered at the conference venue and at dinner time there are plenty of very good restaurants with convenient prices to enjoy a good fish-based dinner at the beach side or in the city center. Early booking is strongly advised being the third week of September, which is still turistic season with pleasant weather conditions. You can use known online apps for booking. Travel

By Train:
San Benedetto has a train station, which can for example be reached by direct connection from Milan and Bologna.

By Plane:
The nearest airports are in Ancona, Pescara, and Rome. A direct bus link exists from the airports in Rome to San Benedetto Porto d'Ascoli (for example, with Gasparibus or Flixbus).
