UC2.3.6 - Roberto Peron

Creation of a new Git repository (INAF IA2) for the project and selective migration from the two previous repositories, in view of pipeline optimization and preparation for container.

The procedure for a "TD" position is ongoing with the IAPS Administration.

 

Mastropietro - Visconti

• Got in touch with corsika 8 acceleration and parallelization group (A. Alves and N. Karastatis).
• The agreed goal is to finish the work needed to merge the first multithreaded branch in Corsika 8 (multithread-radio)
• Profilation of Corsika 8 parallel example (radio_em_shower). Got issues in installation step.
• Work on implementation of a so called dumb pointer which works well with objects in a multithreaded environment (cpp smart pointer have atomicity issues, vanifying multithread library)

Natalucci

• LSST - High Energy Telescopes Analyses
  • High-energy alerts ingestion of alerts fully functional
  • Incorporated Einstein Probe alerts and analysis of Fermi/GBM data
• GW+Kilonova Afterglow Analyses
  • Completed survey of current kilonova models
  • Narrowed down on POSSIS (Bulla et al. 2019) and LANL (Wollaeger at al. 2021) suites
  • Deployed the Nuclear Multimessenger Astrophysics (NMMA) library
