Travel To Bologna
By air
Bologna can be reached by air through its airport Guglielmo Marconi
By train
The central station of Bologna is well served by both low and high speed trains. Schedules and fares can be found in the Trenitalia and Italo websites.
By bus
Via della Beverara can be reached by bus from the central train station. Fares and schedules can be found on the Tper website. See here for the section "Central station - via della Beverara, (bus 30). A more detailed pdf map can be found here (third map).
In an alternative, both buses 87 and 37 stop right in front of the entrance of the CNR area that is just a few minutes away from Via della Beverara (here is a map to reach via della Beverara from the CNR area on foot). Both bus 87 and 37 stop in via Indipendenza, near the railway station and have their terminus at the entrance of the campus ("rotonda CNR").
Bus 37 also has a stop close to the station on the other side of the tracks - a short walk when exiting at the back of the station, in via de Carracci.
By car
For those reaching via della Beverara by car, two different routes are shown here (download pdf file), depending on whether they are coming from the est or from the west.
Accomodation
We do not suggest any specific hotel and/or B&B, as different offers can be found online (and offers can vary significantly over time). In any case, an initial list of hotels can be found in this external website.
If you need any help or suggestions, we invite you to contact the members of the LOC. In any case, June is high season in Bologna. We strongly encourage you to book in advance.
Touristic information on what to do, to visit and to taste, can be found on the official dedicated website.
