For information on how to reach the Basevi site of the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste you can see the INAF-OATs web page (you can find the correct link for the "Airport Bus 51 timetable" here, and search for "Linea G51").
To reach the Trieste Observatory from the airports an alternative to the train, bus or taxi is GoOpti, a low cost shuttle service.

The meeting location is close to the San Giusto Cathedral and within walking distance from the city center; it is possible to easily find hotels and restaurants via booking or other web services.
From the city center it is also possible to reach the San Giusto hill with a free lift situated in the San Giusto Car Park.
