The detection of teraelectronvolt emission from gamma-ray bursts opens up a new outlook on the study of the GRB phenomenon, with relevant implications on both the observational and theoretical perspectives.
The workshop aims to bring together astrophysicists and physicists to discuss the observational, phenomenological and theoretical avenues of the discovery of the energetic component in the GRB 190114C and from the GRBs thereafter detected in the TeV energy range. To foster the future developments based on this unprecedented set of results, we gathered the most active and distinguished researchers in the field, to review and revise the results and progress on the observational, phenomenological and theoretical studies on GRB.
This workshop will provide a suitable framework for each participant to acquire a general view of the main observational and theoretical results obtained and of the prospects for the future.
The topics will be presented in three sessions:
In each session, a general review talk will introduce the current status and problems. Session 3 comprises a series of talks to present the ongoing and planned ground-based and space-based experiments related to GRB studies.
Participation to the workshop by PhD-students and young researchers is strongly encouraged.
