The call for proposals for Cycle 1 of the James Webb Space Telescope will open on January 23rd 2020, with a submission deadline on May 1, 2020. In order to prepare the Italian community to the proposal submission process, we kindly invite you to a workshop intended to train the scientific community on the capabilities of JWST instruments, proposal and planning tools, and help familiarize with them. The workshop will be structured into general presentations and hands-on sessions, during which the participants will be trained to the proposal preparation by directly practicing with the available tools.

The workshop will be held in Bologna, at the Astrophysics and Space science Observatory (OAS), from March 18th to 20th 2020. It is part of a series of workshops organized across Europe and coordinated by ESA.

To attend the workshop there is no registration fee. However, due to logistical constraints, we limited the available participants to 45 people. We strongly encourage the interested researchers to register as soon as possible. Registration will be closed on January 31st, 2020.

We hope to see you in Bologna,
