How to reach Monte Porzio Catone
From Termini Central Station by train:
Once arrived to Rome Central Railway Station with the “Leonardo Express” (see above), you can take a local train to FRASCATI. There is a train every hour, and it takes 30 minutes to get to Frascati. The train ticket costs € 2,10. Once again, for the timetable of all trains, have a look at the following website:

From Frascati, it takes about 20 min. to walk to the Observatory, which lies on the main road from Frascati to Monte Porzio Catone. Of course you can take a COTRAL bus, but you should buy a ticket from a tobacconist beforehand. It takes about 10 min. to get to the Observatory. There is a bus stop just in front of the Observatory’s main gate. As an alternative, you can take a taxi from the taxi stand in front of the Frascati railway Station, and the taxi fare should be about € 10- € 15.
As an alternative, from Termini Railway Station you can take a local train directed to COLLE MATTIA. There are frequent trains, and once, again, it takes less than 30 min. to get there and the train ticket costs € 2,10. Colle Mattia is actually the third stop of the line which goes from Rome to Frosinone. From Colle Mattia, it takes 10 min. by car to get to the Observatory.
From Termini Central Station by Underground:
Instead of a train, from Termini Central Station you can take the Undergound (Metro A, see info above). Just follow the M sign from Termini, buy a ticket (€1,50) and get on the train directed to “ANAGNINA”. It takes about 20 min to get to ANAGNINA (end of the line). From Anagnina, there are local COTRAL buses directed to various towns and villages in the southern area of the province of Rome. On platform 6 you will find the bus directed to FRASCATI-MONTE PORZIO-MONTE COMPATRI-ROCCA PRIORA. You should buy a ticket (€1,50) before boarding a bus. It takes about 40-45 min. to get from Anagnina to Monte Porzio Catone, and there is a bus stop just in front of the Observatory. There are buses about every 30 min., especially during the school year (from Sept. to June).
Finally, by TAXI, it is quite expensive to get to Monteporzio Catone. The average taxi fare from Fiumicino is €70-100, quile it takes about €55-60 to get from Termini to Monte Porzio Catone.
