How to reach Trieste from the airport
To/From the Trieste Airport there are five possible means of transportation to reach Trieste:
- By train Check schedule (and price, but basic fare is 4.15€) on Trenitalia: from Trieste Airport to Trieste Centrale (or vice versa). Train platform is at the end of the overpass walkway when you exit the terminal. You can purchase the ticket online or at the vending machine at the terminal or at the platform.
- Local APT bus 51 runs about every 30', 4.15€ one way. Bus stop is middle way of the overpass, tickets can be purchased at a vending machine on the right of the arrivals exit doors inside the airport building. Pay attention: check the destination to be Trieste, not Udine or other!
- Science Bus shuttle service, about 25€ each way. The driver will wait you at the arrivals exit. You can book it by yourself, it can drop you at your hotel or preferred location in Trieste.
- GoOpti shuttle service, price varies from 9€ up to 40€ depending on your choice of schedule and sharing.
- Taxi about 50€ each way
How to reach Villa Bazzoni with public transportation
There are multiple solutions to reach Villa Bazzoni with public transportation.
- Line 1 starts just in front of railway station Trieste Centrale, then it continues on Piazza Oberdan, Via Carducci, Piazza Goldoni and Piazza del Sansovino. You have to get off at Via S. Giacomo in Monte - Via del Bosco stop. The frequency is about one every 10 minutes.
- Line 10 starts in Piazza Tommaseo in front of Molo Audace, then it continues on Via Mazzini, Piazza Goldoni and Piazza del Sansovino. You have to get off at Via S. Giacomo in Monte - Via del Bosco. The frequency is about one every 10 minutes.
- Lines 15 and 16 start from Piazza Oberdan, from the opposite side of the tramway station, then they continue on Via Carducci, Piazza Goldoni, Piazza del Sansovino and Via Bramante. You have to get off at Via Tiepolo stop. The frequency is about one every 10 minutes.
- Line 24 starts from Piazza della Libertà, from the opposite side of the railway station Trieste Centrale, then it continues on Via Roma, Via Mazzini, Piazza Unità, Rive, Via Venezian, Via Madonna del Mare, Via S.Michele. You have to get off at Via S. Giusto stop. The frequency is one every 40 minutes.
