GAPS (Global Architecture of Planetary Systems) is a synergic research program dedicated to a better understanding of the census and architecture of planetary systems around different kinds of stars in the Galaxy and a study of the properties, including chemical composition, angular momentum, oscillations, and magnetic activity, of the host stars. To reach these goals, GAPS makes use of HARPS-N, the high-resolution spectrograph installed in summer 2012 at the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo that provides unrivalled precise radial velocity measurements, and of several other instruments, especially for follow-up observations.

The meeting will focus both on the exoplanets' and the host stars' characterization, in the latter case in particular using asteroseismology to study the stellar oscillations.

The meeting will be hosted by the Physics department of the Milan University, thanks to the involvement of prof. Giuseppe Lodato.
