How to reach Padua


By car

Padua is accessible from the A4 (Milan - Venice) motorway and from the A13 (Bologna - Padua).

 

 

By train

The main train lines reaching Padua are the Milan - Venice and Rome - Venice. There are fast connection between those cities during the day. The city is also easily reachable by trains from several main cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

By bus

The city is connected to other italian and european cities by a service of long-distance buses.

The closest airports to Padua are Venice Marco Polo International Airport (VCE) and Treviso Antonio Canova International Airport (TSF).

Venice Marco Polo International Airport: This airport is served by several major air carriers which connect the city to all the main destination around the world.

Treviso Antonio Canova International Airport: This airport is mainly served by low-cost companies such as Ryanair and Wizz Air.


To reach Padova from the airports you can use two services:

Bus Service

A bus service from Airports to Padua centre stops just at the exit of the airports. The name of the bus company is BUSITALIA.

At Venice Airport, on exit from the airport there are several buses to the railway station Mestre-Venezia from where there are direct trains for Padova.

Bus Timetable:
From Venice Airport to Padua:
Monday to Sunday: one or two buses every hour, starting from 7:40 to 22:40
From Padua to Venice Airport:
Monday to Sunday: at the minutes 25 of every hour, starting from 6:25 to 21:25

From Treviso Airport to Padua:
Monday to Saturday:There are at least two buses every hour, starting from 5:32 to 20:27.
Sunday: There is one bus every hour, with some exceptions, from 6:52 to 20:02.
From Padua to Treviso Airport:
Monday to Saturday: There are at least two buses every hour, starting from 5:30 to 20:15.
Sunday: There is one bus every hour, with some exceptions, from 7:00 to 20:15.
ATTENTION: The buses to/from Treviso-Padua are direct. You DO NOT have to get off the bus at Noale.

The travel last about 65 minutes from both airports.
Tickets can be bought inside the airports, or in the bus at higher fare.
The bus arrives at Padua bus station and then you can get a taxi to your Hotel in Padova from the nearby railway station.
