IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the covid-19 outbreak emergency the meeting has been postponed to a later date.
In view of the upcoming first light of the synergetic high-contrast instruments SHARK-NIR and SHARK-VIS at LBT, we are pleased to announce the first SHARK Science Meeting that will be held in Rome (INAF Headquarters at Monte Mario).
The meeting plans to cover all the scientific topics for which SHARK is expected to provide unique contributions, which include detection and characterisation of young planetary and substellar companions, protoplanetary discs and jets, characterisation of moons and small bodies of the Solar System, structures around evolved stars, morphology of central regions of nearby AGNs, close binary systems.
The aim of this meeting is to bring the SHARK community together in order to discuss the observational strategy, the time sharing, and both corroborated and new science cases.
Registrations and abstract submissions are open.
A preliminary programme is currently in preparation and will be published as soon as it is ready.
