Description
SHARK-VIS is the optical AO-assisted high-contrast imager that will be mounted in the next future at LBT. We will present the opto-mechanical design of the instrument and the Automatic Beam Stabilization (ABS) prototype system. We will explain the mechanics focusing on the main features and technical solutions adopted to meet the requirement of the optical design. Results from Finite Element Analysis (FEA) will be discussed. Subsequently we will show the results obtained by the image stabilization system prototype along with a system and algorithm description.
