Description
Observations of young stellar objects using adaptive optics systems are nowadays increasing in number. These observations are leading the astronomical community to interesting findings regarding circumstellar/protoplanetary disks structures surrounding young stars.
High-resolution imaging observations of structures in protoplanetary disks have shown spiral arms, as well as asymmetric rings and gaps which might be telltale signs of ongoing planet formation. In this talk I will show some results obtained using the extreme adaptive optics imager SPHERE.
