Description
SHARK-VIS is the optical AO-assisted high-contrast imager that will be mounted in the next future at LBT. We will present and discuss the expected performances of the instrument evaluated through our SHARK-VIS focal plane simulator tool and the results of real on-sky observations performed with the SHARK-VIS pathfinder camera (the ForeRunner). A few key scientific cases concerning exoplanet detection will be taken into account to highlight the potential of SHARK.
