 NAF))\n\n5th national meeting for the preparation of the Ariel space missi
 on\n\nThe Ariel space mission\, adopted by ESA\, represents a cornerstone 
 of European exoplanet science and a strategic opportunity for Italy to con
 solidate a leading role in the study of exoplanetary atmospheres. Ariel wi
 ll perform a homogeneous spectroscopic survey of approximately 1000 transi
 ting exoplanets\, enabling a population-level understanding of planetary a
 tmospheres\, formation pathways\, and evolutionary processes. The mission 
 is scheduled for launch in 2031\, with payload development and community p
 reparations in a critical phase over the next years.\nSince 2019\, the Ita
 lian community actively engaged in Ariel has organised a series of nationa
 l meetings dedicated to consolidating scientific activities\, defining pre
 paratory analyses\, and consolidating national contributions to the Ariel 
 Mission Consortium. The 5th national meeting for the preparation of the Ar
 iel space mission (May 2026) is a strategic continuation of this effort su
 ccessfully to bring together researchers working on stellar and planetary 
 characterisation\, atmospheric simulations\, spectral synthesis\, host sta
 r properties\, and mission dry runs\, fostering collaboration and establis
 hing concrete preparatory steps for high-impact science in the Ariel era.
  \nThe meeting aims to: \n\nconsolidate and coordinate Italian scientifi
 c contributions for the Ariel preparation\;\nalign national activities wit
 h ESA and Ariel Consortium timelines and priorities\;\ndefine common strat
 egies for the determination of homogeneous stellar parameters\, fundamenta
 l properties of the planets\, planetary atmospheric properties\, disc chem
 istry\, planetary formation and chemical evolution\, spectral synthesis\, 
 simulations and retrievals\;\nsupport the involvement and training of earl
 y-career researchers\, in line with INAF’s capacity-building objectives\
 ;\nreinforce Italy’s visibility and leadership within the Ariel mission 
 and the broader ESA science programme.\n\n \nNEWS: A link for online atte
